Update for Mark Wildey from daughter Trista : 5/3 Update: Mark had the first MRI today and we should have the results tomorrow afternoon. His blood cultures are still coming back positive so cardiology has decided that his ICD and the leads are to be removed, probably Monday, since that device is most likely reseeding the infection. After that: He will have another trans esophageal echocardiogram to evaluate the vegetation growth on the heart valves and will continue on the antibiotics until his cultures clear. Then, Dr. Guber, the surgeon who performed his last heart surgery in 2020, will redo the entire surgery. Then continued antibiotics for an undetermined time. We have a plan! Thank you Lord!

UPDATE on Mark Wildey: The Staph infection was seen on his artificial heart valves. The doctors are going to put him on heavy doses of antibiotics for 5 days and reevaluate whether he will require heart surgery or not to replace the artificial valves. Please pray that God removes the infection from the artificial valves. Mark has a 25% of survival if they go ahead with the heart surgery.

Update from Mark Wildey’ daughter Trista: Good morning, here's the update. He's stable. We are waiting to hear from the surgeon which should happen this afternoon and then we will know more. Still in pain and the infection is still present but off the blood pressure upper which is good. He was also able to get out of the bed and is sitting in a chair which is awesome! Please keep praying for Mark and their family.! Thank you!!!

My dad, Bobby Baker is having back surgery on Thursday. Please pray that his doctors have God's hands while performing the surgery and the surgery will leave him pain free. Also that he does his part in listening to them during recovery.

From Laura Wildey about her husband, Mark: Here's an update for those of you who are praying for Mark. They are going to do a trans esophageal echocardiogram this afternoon. Regardless of the outcome of the TEE, they are making arrangements with Littleton hospital to have him transported there because they have the ability to do an MRI on a conditional device. His ICD and one lead are compatible and the other lead is conditional. Littleton also has a cardiac surgical team. The MRI is essential to detect if there is bacteria in the spine. He may have to be put on a ventilator to do the MRI so they can get a safe and accurate reading. This is where it stands right now.
