While our “school year” classes are designed with an academic flare, the Southeast U Summer Session will be an engaging time for you to put your learning into practice. These practicum style classes, focused on prayer and community impact, are designed to help you learn in a more experiential way. Summer classes begin June 28.
Transforming Wounded Hearts: Healing Prayer
MONDAYS | 5:30 - 7:30 PM | MEETING ROOM B
This interactive 10-week class brings transformation and restoration to wounded hearts through biblical truths, prayer, and teaching. This class is designed as an environment of safety, confidentiality, grace, and hope so that you can experience the healing love of God.
Key topics include: Fatherhood of God, Basic Trust, Lies We Believe, Shame, and Performance Orientation (Approval Addiction)
Cost is $35.
Community Partner Practicum
MONDAYS | 6 - 7:30 PM | VARIES
This seven-week class will focus on and be led by a different Southeast Christian Church Community Partner. These partners include SECOR, Covered, Alternatives, Winter Shelter Network, Royal Family Kids, Campus Life, and Treasure House of Hope.
Participants will learn about each organization and how to best partner with them, as well as have a greater understanding about the issues these organizations face (i.e., homelessness, trafficking, foster care, abortion, etc.).
Cost for materials is $10.
