MINISTRY PARTNERS

We partner with several local ministries to show Christ’s love to others in Parker and the Denver Metro Area. There are many ongoing volunteer opportunities for you to serve weekly, monthly, or "as needed." We would love to help you find a place to be a blessing to others in our community.

Open Door Ministries

Open Door Ministries exists to provide practical help and hope to people in urban Denver who are homeless or low income. Their primary objective is to move people toward self-sufficiency by helping change the circumstances and life patterns that have held them captive to poverty and addictions. There are many ways to get involved individually or with a group, for one-time projects or ongoing opportunities, including: babysitting, gardening, crafts, bringing and serving meals, praying with guests, outreach to the homeless, working in their coffee shop, maintenance, mentoring, helping with laundry, resume writing, and more!

Denver Rescue Mission

Denver Rescue Mission changes lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need, with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.

The Mission’s Lawrence Street Shelter is open 365 days a year and offers emergency care to male overnight guests. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, some one-time only, like serving a meal or helping with their clothing bank and food pantry, and other ongoing opportunities like mentoring.

Whiz Kids

Whiz Kids Tutors meet with students from Pine Lane Elementary, teaching and reading with them. Tutors are people who enjoy working one on one in a fun environment with elementary-age students who are struggling to learn new skills. Every Wednesday night throughout the school year, Whiz Kids meets at Southeast where students and tutors learn in a fun and exciting environment. Tutors are paired with a student, and over the course of the year, have the opportunity to develop a relationship while learning and having fun.
