What is the purpose of cooperate worship? Read the following Scriptures:
Colossians 3:16-17
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Ephesians 5:18-19
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
1 Cor. 14:12, 26
12 So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.
26 What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

One of the primary goals of cooperate worship, worshiping together, is to build one another up. What if cooperate worship isn’t just for you to come and have time with God alone to worship, but to benefit each other?
Several months ago, I asked my teenage son, “Why do you think I like to sit here in this particular section at church?” He gave me the “I have no idea” look. I told him, “It’s because I’m super encouraged by the way they worship – their voices, their postures, the way they engage in the service. Something in me is stirred up and encouraged.” After church that Sunday, he said to me, “I see what you mean.”
Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” When we come together in cooperate worship, the Holy Spirit is also present within and among His people. As you think about Sunday morning worship, begin to consider how your worship will build others up.
