Yesterday Kelli Couch talked about why we worship. As you review these reasons, which one speaks to you the most today?
- To praise God: Psalm 34:1, I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
- To declare His works: Psalm 118:17, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
- To revere God: Hebrews 5:7, In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
- To wage spiritual war: 2 Chronicles 20:22, As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.
- To remember what God has done: Psalm 143: 5, I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands.
- To remind each other of who God is when we are discouraged: Ephesians 5:18-19, And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.
- To teach us theology and make known His faithfulness: Psalm 89:1, I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
- To bond us together: Ephesians 4:1-3, I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Choose one of the Scriptures above to meditate on today, thanking God for His corporate community of worshipers of which we get to be a part! We belong to each other, and He does transforming work in us when we come together in worship.
